My new additions to my shoes family

 My recent shoe purchases!

The blue flip-flops at the back are from JB City Square. Bought them at crocs. Yeah I know, I used to say crocs shoes are very ugly. Some of them still are, but I thought that the flip-flops were okay. They are mad comfy, like, a thousand times more comfy than my havaianas. It was 69 ringgit, which amounts to S$28+ I think. Quite worth it.

The pink havaianas were from the recent havaianas sale. They had very limited sizes though. Mine was the cheapest on offer at only $20. I really don't get why havaianas are so expensive though.

The blue and yellow pair, and the pink pair were bought from Bugis Village. The shop is located on the second floor right next to the escalator and the toilet. They have really really nice shoes, and I really like them because they're not the common ones you see everywhere in Bugis Village. But then, they were quite expensive (about $30 for the blue and $40 for the pink) and the quality is really lousy. I've only wore the pink one out three times for a short period of time and the base is already wearing away, so I don't think I'll be getting any more shoes from there alr.

Bought these two pairs of shoes from Guangzhou. They were quite expensive ($50 for the sandals and $90 for the white one) but the quality is really really good.

But I've been spending so much money recently I feel so sad for my empty wallet. :(

LRH DUNGAREE BRALETTE V.2 IN WHITE

The LRH Dungaree Bralette in Version 2 caught my eye during the launch. I already liked the design when they first launched the version one, but decided not the get it because it was too short. So now that they've decided to manufacture it at a longer length, all the better for me!

I got the one in M. I really like this piece because the cutting is very nice, similar to the famous hooked floral bustier top. Comes with a side zip for easy wearing and this one is better because it zips all the way down from the top, so I didnt have to struggle to get into it. And the material seems really good, so there's no need for nude undergarments.

One thing that I wasn't such a fan of was the straps. I mean, it's really good that the straps are adjustable, so it won't give you too much armpit fats and all. But the buttons are all sewn on, which means the buckle on the strap can come off really easily if you're not careful. But it's not that big a deal if you make it tight I guess.

Another worthy buy from LRH I would say. :)

MGP Lolly Hearts Skirt, In Red

I ordered the MGP Lolly Hearts Skirt in red during the sale at a price of $17.50 so I thought it was quite a steal. The original price is $25 if I'm not wrong.

(sorry for the dirty mirror. hahaha)

Made up of the same prints and material as their Jovia Hearts Bralet (which I have in yellow as well). The skirt looked fine but I'm not sure if it's just for the piece I received, it seemed a little A-line to me. Meaning that the bottom was slightly flared when it should be curved in like bodycon skirts, not sure if you get what I mean.

Comes with a hidden zip at the back for easy wearing, zip was a little hard to do up though.

Would say that it was worth the price I paid. :)

Gmarket Korea: Yellow Top?

Ordered this from gmarket korea, but because my korean is limited, K did the ordering.

And... when it came, I realised it was tagged size L. K got the wrath of my fury of course, hahaha, and as you can see, what was meant to be a top, now turned into some oversized tee. The shoulder part looks gigantic and the sleeves are so loose and long. But I tried wearing it as a dress, paired it with a black sash, and it looked quite okay. So prolly I'll just be altering the shoulders part to make it fit better and keep the length like that.

But I really love mad love the colour. It's like a neon yellow/lime yellow kind of colour. Super cheery and sunshine. (Haiz if only it fits better my life would be perfect. Hahaha)

Review: Forever 21 Premium Denim Shorts

These are my new favourite raves. Denim shorts from Forever 21 under the Premium Denim label.

Extremely comfy, non-scratchy and versatile. It's mid-waisted so I always have the option of leaving my tops tucked-in or out to suit different looks. It also comes in white. Not sure if there are other colours though, because this is the four colours I saw in F21.

Priced at $27, I must say that they're really really worth every penny. What's more, go on a weekday and you're entitled to a student discount of 10% so it's only like $24!

By the way, thumbs up for awesome service at F21.

I didn't bother to try my blue piece since I know my size, but I went home to find that it was actually defective, as in, the cutting was off, maybe due to bad workmanship for that piece or what. But anyway, I had already snipped off the price tag by that time and was panicking that I might not be able to have an exchange. I went down to try my luck anyway, and the people there were really nice about it!

Megagemie High Street Asymmetrical Slip

I bought the burgundy one, but the colour is not really very burgundy-ish, more like a faded dirty red.

Red is not really very sheer, so actually can go without a inner piece if you dare. There's an opening at the back though, probably to show the inner piece that you're wearing, but if you're okay with showing a bit of flesh, going without a tube/spag top is perfectly fine as well.

This top does tend to emphasize shoulders though, probably due to its slightly triangular shaped front. So might not look so nice if you have fleshier arms or broad shoulders.

The tail is reaaaally long, like almost down to my mid calf. But this helps to give it that flowy effect when you walk, I did consider altering it before I received the piece, but I think now there's not really a need to because its not really unsightly or anything.
Also tried it with skirt and jeans. But personally I feel a lighter bottom will go better with the red, probably that with panty hose or patterned leggings. I also think that elongating your legs (by wearing heels) will give it a better overall effect.

On the whole, because of the simplicity of the top and the material used, I don't think it's really worth the $28.50 unless this is really your style. This is more like a hit or miss kind of top, either you really like it or you don't. I did try it with a belt, the back looks nice but because the front is much shorter it has a kind of ballooning effect. So I don't think a belt will go very nicely with this also.

LRH Hooked Floral Bustier Top

Finally decided to get my hands on this after all the positive and tempting reviews I've read and I must say I finally understood what all the hype is about!

Very flattering piece.

Got the black one even though I wanted white, but since only black is available I didn't have much choice la. But the black piece is really nice as well, and has a slimming effect since its black.

Wish it was slightly longer though.

But nevertheless, it's a really fuss-free piece that you can throw on for those days when you can't decide what to wear. I've emailed LRH to ask whether they have extra slots for BO for the white floral one and the blue polka one. haha. I don't normally get the same designs in different colours but this is too pretty to resist. :)

CWC Katelyn Tube Top in Ivory

Damn amazed that I managed to cart this out since every CWC launch is like a shopping war.

the ivory piece is just white colour in my opinion. And since it's white, it's still sheer even with inner lining. But a nude/white bra will solve the problem.

Really liking the design and the fit! The top is really stretchy without being loose so I won't have to worry about having to keep pulling the top up, especially for poorly-endowed girls like me. Haha.

Joined the BO for the burgundy piece as well because it's a really simple yet nice piece that's quite versatile.
But thinking of selling off the ivory one since I'm beginning to develop a bit of tummy from all the studying and reports and white is not really a tummy friendly color.

So might be just keeping the burgundy one instead.

Review: CWC avery blazer, size S

CWC avery blazer in wine, size s

gave myself quite a scare because CWC gave me the wrong RA number, but finally received it!

I really like this blazer a lot and I would say its really value-for-money to me. Not sure whether the quality is good cos I dont really know how to look at materials, but judging from the cutting of it I'll say it's quite flattering. And the material is quite thin so very suitable for Singapore weather. I realized blazers with slightly puffed-up shoulders look nicer one me, like make me slimmer and all. The sleeves are a bit short though. Doesn't quite reach the wrist bones. But not a problem for me because I like to wear my blazers folded up anyway.

Now I'm contemplating whether to joing BO for the black one as well.

Size S fits me quite well but since I'm not planning on buttoning it anyway, wondering if I should size down to a size XS.

Zekko

Bought new shoes from this shop at Clementi Mall. Was eyeing another pair that looked similar, but in the form of flats. They didn't have it in my size in brown and the blackish-blue one wasn't that nice on me, so decided to try this. And it was love once I put it on! Slight heels but very comfy, and at $25.90 I'll say it's really worth it. :)
